In this course we will be addressing escaping, surviving, and even countering armed  assaults. We will look at common armed assault scenarios such as robberies,  kidnappings and muggings.  

 We will then learn various methods of dealing with them. We will look at all options  from when it's safe to
 run to when you must fight. This is not a cookie cutter static drill session but a  dynamic and interactive workshop, "  Expect to sweat".

Florida Concealed Carry

Our Program is broken down into two parts;

 

Part One is our Fundamental Handgun Safety and Skills Course, which  is broken down into six short lessons and a  live fire  exercise. This class meets the training requirement for the Florida Concealed Carry License. Certificate Provided upon completion.

 

 Part Two; Is Discussion on eligibility, fees and application process .Summary of regulations (Chapter 790 FL Statues) pertaining to Concealed Carry in Florida, Discussion on use of deadly force for lawful self defense. Concealed carry etiquette and Assistance in properly completing Application package (Provided) and the Required Notary Stamp.

 

This Program is designed to thoroughly cover all requirements for the Florida Concealed Carry License. It is not the typical overview class that is given at most Gun Shows and Shops.

Concealed Carry Combatives

This course could very well be called hand to hand for concealed carriers.We delve deeply into the “within arms reach” distance common in most real life criminal assaults. You will learn the realities of how to properly use firearms in extreme close quarters.

 

  • Awareness, avoidance and de-escalation skills

  • The combative draw stroke and how each position is a shooting position

  • Fighting to the draw and the 3 timings of defense (in fight weapon access)

  • Hand striking and how it applies to CQB (Close Quarters Battle, “Combat”)

  • The shield, the wrap and other defensive concepts for CQB

  • Dealing with impact and edged weapons

  • Close quarter shooting considerations and weapon retention

  • Weapon retention from holster and from outside the holster

  • The role of the back up weapon

  • Gun disarms

  • Fighting considerations

 

For this class you will need your regular carry gear. This is a classroom practical skills training course. NO LIVE AMMO.

Personal Protection inside the Home

NRA Basic Personal Protection in the Home Course exposes students to several schools of thought regarding defensive shooting techniques and is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state or local law.

This course is much more than just a routine shooting course and it’s important that participants have sufficient maturity and life experiences to be able to assess various situations and make mature decisions.

This shooting portion of this course is about Defensive accuracy, which is a balance between speed and accuracy. Students shoot as fast as they can while still hitting the target every time. Factors that bear on speed or accuracy are the distance to the target and the target size. .  

   The Course Goal of the NRA Personal Protection in the Home Course is to develop in the students the basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family and provide information on the law-abiding citizen’s right to self defense.

 

There  are 8 course lessons and they are the following:
